Kata / Forms

Kata is a teaching and training methods by which successful combat techniques are preserved and passed on. Practicing kata allows a person to engage in a struggle using a systematic approach, rather by practicing in a repetitive manner develops the ability to execute techniques and movements in a natural, reflex-like manner, without thought or hesitation. Kata is reviewed within groups and in unison when training. It is practiced as a way to memorize and perfect the movements being executed.
